The printer requires a complex driver. The driver install program requires a restart to work.

• Unzip by double clicking. It contains a single application.
• Close all your running applications. Run the application which will install the drivers.
  It will complain that no other apps can be running.
• You may have to reboot for OS X to use the new drivers

• start the /Utilities/Printer Setup Utility
  • the printer can't be found by Mac's browser, so…
• click "more printers" at the bottom
• select "Canon IP (URF II)
• Printer Address: zolprinter.zoology.msu.edu
• queue name: leave blank
• click 'add'

• I've found that if you don't manually select one of the printer drawers, it says it's out of paper.
• When printing, select the 'paper source' option, change paper source from 'auto' to 'drawer 1' (letter-sized currently) or 'drawer 2' (legal-sized currently).
