James Atkinson's most recent artwork, "Critters of the Water Drop: Rotifer 1" is on display at the Delta Township Public Library, through the end of March.

This (acrylic on paper 8 3/4" x 14") is his second painting, in a new series on microscopic animals.

Says Atkinson:

"I try to capture that beauty in those aspects of nature that are too small, too fast, or too unusual to have captured the popular imagination."
