Thomas receives James D. Hoeschele Endowed Teaching Award


Assistant Professor Stephen Thomas is the recipient of the James D. Hoeschele Endowed Teaching Award, an honor bestowed by the MSU Center for Integrative Studies in General Science (CISGS).

The James Hoeschele Endowed Teaching Award recognizes excellence in teaching by faculty members.  Criteria includes: course content, course design, instruction and delivery, classroom environment, teacher-student relationship, methods of assessment, and availability to his students.

Professor Thomas is honored for his creative and innovative online version of ISB 202, Applications of Organismal and Environmental Biology (also winner of a 2009 AT&T Instructional Technology Competition Award for Best Fully Online course).

Professor Thomas will be honored at the College of Natural Science (CNS) Awards Convocation on April 16th.
